When our 4 year old daughter had pneumonia, Dr. Rinker provided us with excellent care. Her close monitoring of the situation and calm demeanor were comforting as she started treatments in the office, arranged for the ambulance and admission to the hospital. We are thankful for the good healthcare we receive from the office.

We will never forget being brand new parents at Shawnee Mission Med. The pediatrician on call asked if our new son had a doctor. We didn’t know who to turn to for our new baby. Then the pediatrician on call asked where we lived (Liberty area) she exclaimed we are super lucky because the best pediatricians she ever saw in training had their practice near us – the Lively team! Our kids receive the best care from a team know across the metro!

I have seen every Dr in this Clinic expcet Mrs Lively. They are all amazing. I switched to this office when my baby was 7 weeks old and was heard from day one! Last year my infant hit his head in the huge snow storm that shut everyone down. I called the office and Dr Rinker called me from home to check on him and then called a couple more times that night to see how he was doing. He was fine but being a first time mom I was in panic mode. They have never made me feel stupid or annoyed with all the phone calls I made that first year and I appreciate that! Thanks for being amazing and having an amazing staff!

I'm pretty sure my daughter is alive in part because of the amazing and loving staff of Health Care For Children. They have been caring for her since she was born 7 weeks early and I have recommended more people to HCFC than I can count. They have the best staff that know their patients and are beyond dedicated. The hours are fabulous! Dr. John and Dr. Paul are the best pediatricians and we are very blessed to have them in our lives.

Despite living over an hour away HCFC is the only clinic I take my kids to. Dr Hertenstein cared for my 17 year old when he was a newborn until last year. My 6 year old son has seen Dr. Paul (as he calls him) Lively since he was a newborn. I love after hours clinic since we do have to drive, love that a doctor is on call when the clinic is closed and the the nurses are awesome! I love that wait time in the waiting room is very short. I also appreciate the doctors allowing extra time during the appointment to answer any question I have. I’m an RN myself and can verify that this clinic and their staff are top notch! I won’t take my child anywhere else.
